Cynthia has an Honours degree in law and prior to working as a solicitor, then barrister, worked extensively in the health care industry, particularly in specialist multi-disciplinary surgical and pharmaceutical treatment teams.

She has appeared in most advocacy jurisdictions, County and Appeal, Magistrates' Courts and VCAT. Her medico-legal research skill and trial advocacy interest are priority areas.

She has a keen interest in forensic and mental health issues and an established international as Churchill Fellow for Australia in managing children during household trauma.
