Prior to coming to the Bar, John was employed with Shine Lawyers as a solicitor managing predominantly a caseload of Plaintiff TAC matters and some public liability and WorkCover matters.

Prior to this John was employed with the Transport Accident Commission between 1995 and 2008 in various roles. He commenced as a claims manager, continued working as a Senior Investigator and then undertook Articles.

John was admitted to practice in February 2007 and worked as a Solicitor to the TAC until December 2008.

John has experience with regard to Statutory Benefits matters, Serious Injury applications, Common Law Damages, Recoveries and NSW Common Law matters including applications to the NSW Motor Accidents Assesment Service (MAAS).

John has appeared at the Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts as well as the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
