Zero has a diverse general practice with a focus on Employment and Industrial Relations Law and Discrimination and Administrative Law (including judicial review).
A developing area of his practice includes acting in and advising on common law and personal injury matters.
In his employment practice he has acted for both employers and employees in both statutory and common-law jurisdictions. He has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in Discrimination law proceedings at both a State and Federal level.
His administrative law practice sees Zero acting in both Federal and State jurisdictions in a variety of matters encompassing disciplinary boards, merits review proceedings and judicial review proceedings. By way of example, Zero has acted in the
His administrative law practice sees Zero acting in both Federal and State jurisdictions in a variety of matters encompassing disciplinary boards, merits review proceedings and judicial review proceedings. By way of example, Zero has acted in the Liquor Reform Control Act 1988 (Vic); Working With Children Act 2005 (Vic); Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983 (Vic) jurisdiction and in Social Security matters in the Federal Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Zero is dedicated to providing pro bono assistance when able and he is a member of the Victorian Bar Pro Bono Scheme. He also has a long-standing association with the arts and has for many years been a member of the Arts + Law Centre of Australia's legaladvice panel which provides pro bono advice to its subscribers.
In 2009 he was a recipient of Arts + Law Print Commission Award in recognition of the pro bono support he provided to Arts + Law that year.
