David came to the Bar in 1999 and has a busy and broad practice. David appears predominantly in property and commercial disputes and wills and probate matters. He also appears in family and de facto law cases more often in property cases. He appears in trial, interlocutory and appellate proceedings and appeared in appeals in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

David has also appeared in a number of arbitrations pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Act 1984.

In recent times David has appeared as junior counsel in the appeal State Trustees Limited v. Bernadette Mary Edwards [2009] VSC 57 with Wikramanayake SC in respect of State Trustees immunity from subpoena having successfully argued the matter at first instance. He also appeared with Wikramanayake SC in Edwards v. Edwards [2009] VSC 190 a statutory construction case involving s52 of the Guardianship and Administration Act.
